ALAIN MIKLI

The project was to design an optics shop for Alain Mikli brand. Alain Mikli is a company that apart from being experts in optics and having his own brand, it also has other products like clothes and accessories.

The idea was to create a single space where the costumers can have an idea of the different products sold in the shop, with large openings to the outside.

The inside space is formed by a wide and orderly area, including the central reception desk, with the optics zone on the right and the shop on the left.

“LA CASETA DEL CORRALÓ” HOTEL

The aim of this project was to change the utility of a family house into a little quality hotel located in Prades, a touristy mountain village in Tarragona, Spain.

The hotel design is inspired by the outside environment that offers the typical red stone of the village and the rustic wood. One of the more characteristic elements is the colours used, related to the huge range of colours of the environment, especially the autumn colours, getting warm spaces inside the building. The combination of these materials and colours with some modern elements allow the guests to feel perfectly welcome in a quality design including the outside elements.

INJUVE

Injuve is the Youth Institute that promotes action for the benefit of young people. This company wanted to make an information display about the National Youth Day in the University Square in Barcelona.

The theme chosen for the exhibition was the music. Based on a study on the popularity percentages of different types of music, the decision was to make a minimalist structural wall design based on cubes dynamically positioned to obtain the base of the exhibition.

Also, along the square following their natural course, some vinyl imitating old vinyl discs were placed, including the information of the exhibition.

REFORM OF AN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING

The warehouse is located in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona, Spain). The project consisted of reforming the central building into a community walk for residents and the side buildings into family detached homes with a private garden in front.

Each family house has 180 square meters over two floors, 140 on the ground floor and 40 on the first floor including a terrace.

PANAMA JACK

The project was to design a corporative coffee shop for Panama Jack brand inside a hotel.

Panama Jack is a trademark that sells high-end shoes and accessories inspired by countryside life.

The design of the project was based on the brand motto “Nature”. This motto is present either on the space and the furniture. The coffee shop includes materials like wood, bamboo and stone. Furthermore, the cafeteria line is inspired by nature so the main shape of the design is the curved line present in the pavement, the ceiling, the bar and other furniture elements.

INSTANT SHOT

Instant Shot, a shop directed to all audiences, is inspired on the returns of the instant photography, and sells both current products and authentic specimens of earlier times.

The inside design is based on a symbolism arising from the slogan “Freeze the moment, Feel the instant”. They want to give the impression that as the client approaches the back of the store of the store, the space is freezing.

The counter shop is integrated in the space by a wall papered with typical patterns of the 70s and 80s decades, including pictures of authors of different times that used instant photography. This composition on the wall represents the chronologic evolution of this kind of photography.
